I dont know if anyone has brought this up but i really feel marines should get grenades either to start w/ or the comm can drop them. It would help defending vents and taking down hives or towers

What's that? The lid on that jar is stuck? Stand back little Timmy, let me apply my patented C4, that will get rid of your pesky lid.

I want a more useful grenade launcher. For 33 res points I want me a Rocket launcher! Hitting things with the GL is a pain in the **obscenity**.

maybe each marine starts with a single hand grenade in weapon slot 4? it wouldn't be too powerful, maybe around the strength of a counter-strike hand grenade.

maybe this thread is better off in suggestions forum?

For whoever said that it was too hard to hit with a grenade launcher, do you even have any idea how to shoot the thing?

Yes lets see, i am going to perfectly aim a high exsplosive shell at a alien.

Wait, high exsplosive? Doesn't that have a damage radius?

    *smacks your forhead.

Secondly, for the topic starter, there will probably never be any hand grenades in NS. Think about it.

Marines are supposed to work together right? Right.

Teamwork = fire group right? Right.

The problem is, that commanders go hmg, and then think the games won. No, you need nades. Ive been in like 6 games where a commander has actually properly loaded out his sqaud. You have a 8 man team, down to 7 memembers.

    2 - HMG

    2 - Nades

    2 - Shotguns

    1 - Lmg

    Basic flexable attack sqaud.

Shotgunners run middle field, lmg picks them off, hmg's poprovid the heavy support, and the nades are of course, the base attackers.

The only way i will think we will ever see hand grenades in NS is, if marines never shape up.

Which is starting to look like that. Granted the games only 8 days from there 2nd month anniversary, but how long does it take to grasp the concept of stick together and cover?

Course, people still don't do that in CS.

Grenades are fun , especially with jp taking out those walls of chambers, the worst combo is the nade launcher with a welder, which I accidently pickedup and didn't realise, until I found out I didn't have a handgun and ended up killing myself with a nade

The Simpsons episode that starts with Homer and Bart "fixing" everything with fireworks and explosives comes to mind...
