Urgent but not super important

<div class="IPBDescription">I'm getting on a plane</div>I want to map on the plane, but noticed the in offline mode, it gets stuck on authentication when testing my map. Is there a way to skip authentication offline? I tried searching the forum to no avail

But you don't need to authenticate when starting spark? At least not when you start the .exe-file directly from the install folder.

you dont need to be on steam. Just go to the directory and double click 'editor.'

Sorry I meant test it in game using "map ns_test" in console

In that case I dont believe you can because of Steam' requiring internet connection

Oh man. Steam has a habit of going down when we are playtesting and so then we're just sat there unable to do anything until it returns.

You *might* be able to test your map in "Explore" mode, since that does not do multiplayer. I'm guessing you would have to add a few more props to support this mode, but I'm not certain.

P.S. NS2 used to have a -lan command line option (while in beta), but I don't know if it worked. I believe it was broken when steam authentication was added and consequently removed before v1.0. Hopefully a limited lan mode will be available at some point in the future.
