Skulks With Adrenaline

When Parasite Comes into its Own
The other day I was playing on a server as a skulk. The marines had set up a turret factory and turrets outside one of the empty hives in the sewer, and with carapace I decided to make a blind spot at the turret factory by attempting to take out one of the turrets. Originally the idea was to do a few runs to eventually disable the turret factory. Anyway, the story goes like this.
My first run, I take a few nibbles at the turret factory, and I hear someone come in through the phase gate, so I quickly run up to the ceiling and hide above the pipes where they can't see me. The marine is wandering around and I know that I won't be doing much damage if he calls for support, and just as I'm about to go back to the hive to regenerate, my speaker echoes,'New Upgrade Available', its movement. At this point I'm thinking shall I evolve to Lerk and just spike a turret to death.
Problem is, that the resources are coming in pretty slow, and I don't actually have enough to make Lerk, so I go what the heck and upgrade Adrenaline. I begin spamming the turret with parasite, they come quite fast with adrenaline. In my mind I'm working out the damage, I'm thinking every shot is worth 10 dmg, and I don't feel like I'm wasting my team's time.
With the last of my energy, I make a run down towards the depleted turret taking a few shots, and with one bite, the turret is gone!! And I am onto the turret factory..
Well anyways, the moral of the story is to give Adrenaline a go as a skulk, most people won't ever think about upgrading Adrenaline as a skulk. It definitely changes the way you use parasite. Some of you might think, well why don't you just wait to go Lerk? Well if you have 2 hives already, you might prefer to save up to be Fade instead.

Oh parasite kills are lovely, especially when it's unintentional. You see a marine, oh i'll parasite him! *he dies* oh.. sweet!
that tactic with sitting on the roof parasiting the turret, not bad at all. anyone know how much damage a lerk's spikes do and what their RoF vs the parasite RoF is?
I always do. Your other option is celerity, which is great because it lets you move faster... but the fastest option of all is leap. With adrenaline, I've had no problem leaping into the middle of a turreted marine base, chomping a marine or two, and leaping several times to get out quickly with minimal damage. Maybe you've had success with this without the adrenaline, but I always found the extra leaps you get is better than moving a bit faster along the ground.
So give it a try, maybe you'll like it.

100 parasite shots per turret? thats actually not too bad if nobody is around.
If we START with movement chambers(difference yay), I always go Silence, unless 2nd hive is up(then I expect to get to be fade rather soon, and we all know that adrenaline is damn useful for fades). Sneaking up on marines is sooo much fun... especially when they DONT have the extra armor
Leap is also great to get in that vent @ marine spawn on caged (if its welded on the other side) ... then you go fade and get regen and you kill them and the buildings
best building killer before ONOS
Huh, who said it did 16 dmg? The Lerk does 16 dmg with the spike shooter, Skulks do 10 dmg with parasite.
