    <img src='http://www.clan-apathy.com/images/NSreviewPCZ.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
Sorry if it's a bit small, I'll make it bigger if anyone has too much trouble reading it

I've seen so many little kids coming into servers, it's too late to stop the unpubitized immature spamming llama sounding brats in, make it retail <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Could you e-mail me the scanning of the PCZ review, or repost as an attachment here? The link doesn't seem to be working for me. Thanks!

Tell me when it comes to PC Gamer US.... I've seen TONS of **obscenity** make it into UK. I don't think they're quite up to par.

99% of the articles in magazines are made by idiots
and u can clearly see that this is one of them looks liek he didn't do his research on the mod
liek the X ray specs...it's called a Hive mind

after a second read i mod my opinion to they prolly haven't PLAYED teh mod

Jim Rossingol is a god and not a word should be said against him.

You try explaining what the stuff does in so few words that it would be understood, it is like X-ray specs who the hell is going to know what the hive mind is if they haven't played NS?

Also they have servers set up with all kinds of mods where they organise games against them so to say they haven't played the mod is very unfair.
  • uranium_235uranium_235 Join Date: 2002-11-20 Member: 9478Banned
Well they usually play against each other, so they don't mention that the servers are plauged with newbs, or that there's only a 1/100 chance of getting a good commander and actually WINNING as marines! :O

We actually provided PCG-UK with those screenshots. Flayra and I took them in a series of games on random pub servers. The big Fade shot is from me trying to take out a Level4 with my trustee sidearm - the next shot shows nothing but a black screen...

That's very awesome that NS made it into these two top publications. We've conquered Britain; now on to the EU, and finally America!

Flayra do you still want the pcz scanning sent to you? We had a problem with a router at my web host yesterday which was why the picture wasn't loading :/

Big thumbs up for NS all round then really..I don't read PC zone, but regular readers of PC GamerUK will know they aren't usually that positive about games unless they really like them..

If they dislike something they aren't shy about telling you. I've seen some of the bitchiest reviews in the history of reviewing in that mag.. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Well done.

So what if they burn it? It's practicly useless without a valid cd-key... CD-Key is the best protection of games <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> I wouldnt mind buying NS either... they should have released NS instead of Gunman if the NS was ready that time...

Great publicity indeed!. Not everyone even today has half-life or HL:CS, maybe they just buy it to play NS. I'm going to write some e-mails to one TV channel in Finland which has made reviews of popular HL:MODs on TV, so maybe they could review NS <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->.

Well done NS team, you deserve every bit of recognition. Getting stuff like the UK PCGamer article is no easy feat, so enjoy your accomplishment.

Great publicity, pity the reviewer quite blatantly hadn't played the game much/attal.

Also I don't think they explained the essance of the game very well AND they didn't praise NS enough <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

BTW fruitation means 'coming to fruit' as in the the apples is ripe and ready to be eaten.

PCZ have an NS server running, kinda reflected in that their review was nice(in both the old and new meanings of the word) accurate and carried the jist of it better.

Manual might be abit impenatrable I dunno I never read it I just went to the nearest server and stared playing <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

I'd downloaded NS and was playing it when Dave Woods asked me if I'd a) heard of it and b) wanted to review it. Yes to both, I said, wiping the sweat from my mouse. PCG were doing an exclusive on it that month and not to be outdone we decided to sneak a review in towards the back of the mag. 93% is getting close to CS in terms of adoration.

Now, I wouldn't like to say whether PCG actually played the thing or not -- not once in many years of writing for Zone have I seen a journo from any rival publication online, let alone post anything anywhere, so I've not been able to collar them -- but rest assured I'd had a long test drive before I bought into it.

We now have two NS servers for UK gamers, and for PC Gamers if they mend their ways...
