Gather Site

I realise ENSL covers this to an extent but it seems a little lacking and there are complaints of bugs and features not working or missing.

I'm trying to gauge interest in a new, more feature complete site of this nature.
If I were to develop a new site for hosting NS2 gathers and leagues, ideally, what features would you like it to have?

Please list any features that you would like to see and state how essential you see them as being.

For instance some ideas :

* Live server list with basic stats
* Chat: public and private for a forming gather.
* Joining public or private servers
* Gather system for clans but also for individuals / randoms
* Player reporting system so that any bad eggs can be identified (this might need some more thought)

Anything is possible given enough time, so let me know if there is enough interest for a site like this and what you would like to see.

what about helping the ensl staff to improve their system, instead of creating something completly new ...
that would be cool ;) and i think the staff is happy with every help they will get ;)

    and a suggestion from me:
it would be cool, if you can join multiple queues at the same time and each queue is for a diffrent location ...
for example, me, as german, would like to join a german gather, so i join the german queue ...
but if i feel comfortable enough with my english skills, i would join the international, or english queue at the same time, to reduce the waiting time ...

i hope i could make clear, what my idea is about ;)

Helping ENSL is one thing, but I tend to code in C# (ASP.NET) and it looks like they are using Ruby / PHP. Also there are many things that it'd just be better off starting from scratch instead of deciphering one way of doing it and fixing any problems and patching it back together.

Your queue idea makes sense, I think that would be doable.

We currently have huhuh, one of our admins, doing bug fixes on the site to make the it more enjoyable.
You are right that it's coded in ruby.
Hope to get many fixes out during the season, especially for gathers and such, but huhuh doesn't have too much time on his hands.
I believe I could boil this post down to one word: Patience.

    "insert swalk's post here"
We are always glad if people want to help us :)
You can post your list on the ENSL forum too so huhuh can see it.
