hi there i've had a really annoying rubber band/lag effect when i jump as a skulk on a very specific moment, i get this "lag" no matter the server (even in explore mode) or the graphic settings (from everything On to everything Off , including vertical synch).

here's a link to actual footage of some laggy jumps : http://soulfighter2.free.fr/skulkjumplag.avi

mirror link : http://www.mediafire.com/?7xles9skw42nss7
all the options are maxed , my specs are : i7 960 , gtx 560 ti and 4go of ddr3

it looks like some weird messed up frame prediction or something. Anyway it makes jumping as a skulk absolutly horrible.

This has nothing to do with performance, it is a known issue and a bug that Sewlek, the programmer in charge of skulk movement, is well aware of and working on.

The best way to combat this Soulfighter, is to turn down your settings. Eliminate issues by identifying the core problems, or what may be tied to them, and take them out from there.

If by eliminating everything on your side does not improve the situation, then we'll have to wait till the devs are able to adjust from their side.

I appreciate your assistance and attempt at helping, NSDigi but i assure you, as lead playtester for NS2, this is a very well known issue that has to do with the prediction issues during skulk movement, (as the OP suggested) it has absolutely nothing to do with performance, i can reproduce it with 120 fps and have.

@OP : thanks and just standby for future patches, the programmer is fully aware of it and i bug him about this issue at least once a week :)

yeah i know very well this isn't a perfomance issue and has nothing to do with graphic (tested with differents settings and fps etc as i said) i don't know NSDigi persist in "trying to help" even though it really sounds like he didn't bother reading my post.

That being said, thank you very much ironhorse for your precisions on this being a well known bug, i made a lot of research before posting and didn't find anyone talking about it but i'm glad to see it's being working on.

Well, it's been more then 3 weeks and i figured devs were gonna check the forum for 233's bugs so i'm bumping this post hoping they could check the vid and give us some feedback. it makes the skulk gameplay experience practically painful
