MNB
I offically call this MNB, short for Marine n00b Bashing, and if you say you created the saying, you are a liar =P anyways every new game starts. everyone's ALWAYS going for Marine, you see pile ups of people stacked onto each other just to get in as a Marine. Now ill admit ive done this myself before. but its usually when im not in the mood to be eatting people with my bite attack as a skulk, or if i just got done playing as an alien.
Marine n00b bashing. aka the MNB needs to be stopped somehow. i think that they should do it like some servers do it. when you go into the game first. and then you go to Marines *or Aliens but this is rare when you cant join Aliens* it should say and give you the option of this "The Marines/Aliens Team is full, however you do have 2 options, you can stay in the Ready Room and chat with people in the room. or you can join the Aliens/Marines team".

imo, marines are just more fun to play
Oh my. That's...that's brilliant. In fact, I love it, and I think all mappers should implement it immediately. Or maybe if the game could only keep track of what team you were on last, it would give you more allowance for joining the other team.
Or, in a perfect world, we would all be friends and this wouldn't matter. Oh well.
Well, i think the idea of forced alien join after 20 seconds sounds fine, at least as a server option.
Haha, reminds me of the difficulty selection part of Quake 1... you know, if you want to play on "Easy" you just run down a passage. If you want to play "Medium" you jump from platform to platform and if you fall you try again. If you want to play on "Hard" you jump from platform to platform over a pit of LAVA and if you fall in you DIE. Good times...
awsome idea
but if u fall off u get randomly assigned =)
Random Team.
Heh, Unless Mass changes in the community change...I'll guarantee hardly anyone will play your map. Not saying its bad....Just most of the PUB's are newb...which everyone is stating go marines. So they'd stick w/ the map pack and just pile up in the door still ........Atleast if i were a MNB I'd do that...hell if i would play on a custom that I could be alien on. **obscenity** ALIENS (ya right, i only play alien :/ )
Hadn't thought of clan matchs though, oh well.
I don't know, wold jointeam1 jointeam2 still work? then everybody who is clueless can join random team, and those who are cluefull can try to join a specific team
Or maybe just a door that says:
"Only join your favorite team"
and when you enter you just hang outside in space for the duration of the map...
nah, medium was as easy as easy, but hard you had to jump the lava
I remember I died so many times like that. Lo, that was before my jumping skills arose.

No, if you fall you're assigned to the other team and not allowed to disconnect or stop playing until the game ends (and if you turn off your computer, two gentlemen in black suits show up at the door and persuade you to keep playing).
Eater.
