FPS problems and mouse delay

Here are my system specs.

AMD FX-4100 running @ 4.41 GHz Quad-core
8 GB of DDR3 ram dual channeled
ATI Radeon HD 6770
64-bit W7

I average around 90-100+ fps on the main menu

I have all the graphics turned to low running at 1600x900 resolution
My fps drops to surprisingly low numbers (and i mean really low like 10 fps) and my mouse always feels delayed when playing this game. This is the only game I have this issue in.
Thoughts?

Come back in 6 months, and hope it's all better. I have issues like yours as well, even with Mouse Smoothing turned off.

    Hes a cynic, don't mind him. :)
Whats your actual in game, non ready room fps once you spawn? Use r_stats to see.
Given your processor and graphics card I can't see how you are getting 10 fps!
What are your in game graphics settings? you can take a screen shot of this with f12

Might also be helpful to see your dxdiag and ns2 log.txt (see the stickied troubleshooting posts on to do this )

I'm having the same issues with mouse lag, or just lack of input for a few moments at a time. FPS goes between 60 and 80, and this is just me trying the game out in the "Training Mode" for the first time.
I don't think this is a graphics issue, because I've tried setting everything to the lowest possible setting, and I also have trouble with the mouse disconnecting in the menu sometimes. Raw Input On helped somewhat, but the issue is still there. asdasd

I also have this issue. I've tried everything I could think of to get it to work. Updated drivers, played with the settings, tested to see if it was the background programs that might be effecting it. Normally I have around 40-50 fps then something happens that I haven't been able to notice what it is; suddenly my fps drops at a random point in the game, reaching about 10-15 fps. All I have been able to determine is that something happening in game "sets it off" or maybe several things. Some games are fine and I have no issues. Only way I am able to fix it is restart the program.

    My Specs.
    Windows 7 64-bit
    Nividia GTX 570
    AMD eightcore (3.7 GHz)
    8 gigs ram DDR3

    @zanandan:

When you join a game, hit the console (~ key) and type p_logall
Try to reproduce the fps drop you get and then when you feel its been adequately captured, exit NS2.
Without starting NS2 again - go to your %appdata%/natural selection 2/ folder and find the latest file with the plog extension. should say something like client (date).plog
Upload it somewhere on the internet then post the link here.

This wont fix your problem right away, but it will tell the devs why this is happening for you, and hopefully optimize it for future patches.
    Thanks
