Help with .json's

Alright so I have a server and I have been reading the wiki page that keeps getting linked. I have edited the server admin and server config in hopes of labeling myself an Admin when in my server. After replacing text as close as I could based off the wiki my server no longer works. I am currently trying to get it back to a default so that it can be used, but the problem of me becoming admin while in game remains. How, if at all does spacing and brackets and such effect editing those .jsons? thank you for your help forum.
