Jumping into Commander-Dropped egg should reset evolutions

As the title suggests, jumping into a commander-dropped egg should reset your evolutions, giving you a chance to re-spec for the new life-form. Currently this is not the case.

Your evolutions reset when you evolve through spending personal resources, so why shouldn't they when you evolve through spending team resources?

    I couldn't agree more. I often find myself suicide-rushing in to the enemy team to make my death atleast count for something before jumping in to an egg, just so I can choose different evolutions.

    I half wonder if this isn't a bug, since it seems so incongruent with the expected behavior.

    Perhaps it's some way to justify how the Marine commander can't spawn dual exos even after they are teched? I.E. when the Alien commander makes an Onos egg there is some kinda drawback? Just a thought.
