New Gorge skill 'Puffballs' idea ..

As the topic says, I feel like this would be a cool skill for Gorges,

The Puffballs should work just like mines but they give a toxic cloud when enemies step on them.
They should not do that much damage but they should do enough damage to make enemies fear the toxic that the balls can produce.

Gorges could put out some Puffballs to protect Harversters from melee Marines :)
Gorges could have 5-6 puffballs to start with so they could protect atleast 2 buildings from the angry melee Marines :)

    Does the clouds block vision ? make it hard to see anything like smoke grenade would?

    Oh man I'd actually like to see something like that, but maybe a bit different. Not damage, but cover?
    For example, if they could be Umbra-Dispensers that can activate, say, once in a whole minute. Most of the time, they'd be a one-time cover-my-butt for hippos on the run :D

    What about something like ink balloons that erupt into a blinding ink cloud when shot/hit.

    Dark ink cloud Puffballs would also be a fun idea, But I do not see them help with protecting buildings from angry melee Marines ^^

    Maybe the Gorges Puffballs could make a small ammount of damage to infantery units because it is poisonous?
    maybe 1-2 true damage per second in a small aoe area and the ball lasts for 3-5 seconds?
    That is enough to scare marines away for some seconds.

    The Puffballs would be awesome for when Marines rush a Gorge because a Gorge is pretty defenseless when they try to run away.

    Each Gorge could have 2-4-6 Puffballs out at once. depending on how many hives your team have got.

    The Puffballs would also need a cooldown timer when they are destroyed so you can not spam them 24/7
    Maybe 15-20 seconds to get one new Puffball or something like that.

    If you have played alround with the Shade building and used Ink, Then that is almost how the Puffball ink could work but the Puffballs would have a much smaller area of effect than the shades ofc. Only Marines should be able to trigger the balls by shooting or walking on the the Puffballs and then they burst in to a cloud of dark ink that is hard for marines to see through and breathe in.

    Puffballs should work just like real Puffballs, They make a cloud that you would rather not want to breathe in ^^

    How about making them proximity activated traps that parasites marines/exos (and creates a ping on the map?) in an area around them?
