Just click here, it's added, and you have it.

Pretty sweet.

US only? Clicking the link sends me to my national origin front page with no mention of 1942. Switching to the US site allows me to click the button "download your free copy now" but then it yet again sends me to my national front page. Nothing under free games and searching doesn't turn up anything.

seems like it could be US only, if you really want it use a free vpn and set it to us then log into origin and add it

I don't know if it's U.S only, but that'd kinda be ironic, being made by Swedish game developers. Granted, EA controls them, but still!

Unfortunately that would require installing that piece of spyware/datamining tool Origin, and allowing it to scan my entire hard drive's contents.
(Seriously, read the EULA if you haven't.)

No thanks. Kindly go take a flying **** at a rolling donut, EA. Your trinkets, beads and free blankets do not interest or fool me.

Forgot to post this. It's not US only, it's just not available through searching and in any of the places you would think. Insteads, for some bizarre reason, it's under demos.

See, if they'd given away Battlefield 1943 on it, and used it to sweeten Origin to the masses, then they'd have a deal on their hands.

I'm not going to get it just because of that. In fact, I'm considering uninstalling since I neither play ME3 nor BF3 anymore. Every single thing besides the main game has been a awkward digging in arbitrary menus to find it and download it.

Aren't Bf1942 vets with nostalgia flashbacks the only ones who want to play it these days?

I still have my boxed copy.

Nice that I already have the game, and don't need Origin to play it.

I thought 1943 never actually came out on PC.

Moment I found out you can mod ME3 to not require origin, that crap was gone.

I really don't feel like asking an actually retarded Indian person (for the record, most Indian tech support is actually spectacular, but EA is literally contracting to a scum of the earth company) for technical help as soon as the slightest problem arises.

I couldn't care less about battlefield 1942 than I do right now.

Oh a fun side note: Origin just got hacked so y'all might want to change your passwords! Go EA!

To be fair, didn't that happen early in Steam's life as well?

It got hacked but the passwords were hashed so nothing happened. Gabe gave an apology and told people to change password anyway.

Origin accounts are getting lost with little hope of retrieval, so yea.
