Specific Alert for Power nodes?

Rather than "your base is under attack!" could we get a "Powernode under attack!" alert when this occurs. The priority of power nodes over, say, a forward armory is significant enough to warrant a warning. When skulks attack a forward position that has buildings the warning system gets confusing if I have a skulk attacking my base at the same time. When I'm medding during a battle, I can't keep my eyes on my bases as well and am reliant on warnings letting me know whats going on, but it gets lost in the mix of warnings that come from lower priority buildings being attacked when I'm in the heat the battle.

Doesn't help that the powernode icon on the maps overwrites the skulk that is currently eating it...

Yea well the Power Node is a part of the base, Without a Power Node there is no base ^^ Same with Alien cysts, Without Cysts buildings outside the base are useless and dies,
Players attacks the cysts all the time to prevent the spread of the alien base, Should then the announcher spam 'Your cysts is under attack'? :D Cysts is also a part of the base, It is a powerline to every thing that is outside the base

One thing you must learn is to use the Map as a Commander, Move alround with the map and you should be fine.
Just open the Map and ping the map/write or use a microphone to tell players where to go, That is what the game is all about :)

A microphone is the best way to lead your team to victory, Most players will respect you even if you are shy or the language is bad, Just act mature and it will be all good

It's not quite the same because a hive doesn't need a cyst to spawn players. You take out the powernode, the ip dies with it and the players no longer spawn in. Cysts can also be dropped by the com to replace it, while a commander cannot rebuild the powernode without getting out of the chair, other players or macs. Equating powernodes=cysts just isn't the same for those reasons, along with the fact that the uncysted upgrade still provides the benefit as the infestation slowly recedes, and then the chamber dies slowly, as opposed to the powernode which cuts off the armor/weapon upgrades immediately.

As far as mics go, I use a Corsair 1500 vengeance, and love it :p

You know what, I didn't realize that, no wonder it's been happening.... Because I do check the base when I hear that warning ("Your base is under attack!"), but I do it on the minimap looking for the skulk, and since I'm cycling through all the requests for medpacks and ammos I don't spacebar to the powernode attack until its either too close for comfort to get a beacon off, or not get it off entirely.

Which brings up another reason to have a custom audio warning when this is happening.
