The match starts at 19:00 CET on Saturday the 10th of November, and will be played in the BO9 format. Game commentary will be by professional casters, although their experience with NS2 is limited, and there will be interviews with at least some of the players during the live stream.

Furthermore, a significant number of the pre-sale copies went to players in the early part of the beta, many of which have lost interest since then.
There are also other nuances of course, but that should suffice to explain why the number of copies will only have a limited correlation to the number of people actually playing the game at any one time.
Also, not to be all doom-and-gloom, but I doubt the peak of 7135 will be beat in the future, unless there is some "free weekend event" or a similar PR push at some point. Over the coming weeks/months we'll probably see a steady decline in the player count, until it eventually stabilizes.
I'm this close to buy another 4pack to infest all my friends. But I've heard that Steam won't allow you to purchase it, when you already have it in your library. Is that true?

Really excited to see you guys (Archaea and Exertus) playing live this weekend. Team ns2hub (team makes us sound massive, but its really just me and shadow_vigor) will be equipped with beer and ready for the massive final! I hope you all enjoy being in germany, and playing, as much as we enjoy watching you!
P.S. Archaea and Exertus are all such great guys and work incredibly hard that I am really happy to see them playing in such a big final live, props to them all they really deserve it!

It will not as the 4 pack requires one of the copies to be put in your library. So, when you go to purchase the game it will inform you that you already own it and will not allow the transaction to complete.

If you are coming to Germany, you should... WITNESS THE PÖWER OF A FÜLLY ÖPERATIONAL GERMÄN KEYBOARD:
Seriously, on behalf of all the NS2 players around the world who don't use QWERTY layouts (I don't even want to imagine the game experience on a French keyboard), please make those comm keys configurable.
Also, I'd like to see more RTS features for the comm like the ability to remove units from a control group. (E.g. you have produced 5 MACs, but you want to send out just 3 of them, while the other 2 shall stay in the main base. So you double click on one of them which selects all units of that kind in the same room. And now? In strategy games like StarCraft or Total Annihiliation you can remove inidividual units from a selection by CTRL- or Shift-clicking them.)
^No problem for me, I just fire up my notepad++ and off we go. What about all the others who have never modified a file in their life and/or can't be bothered or just expect a game to work?

They are planning to implement bind option of all actions to any keys in later builds. At the moment it is limited 'cos of engine they say =(

Great job on the game guys. It is sooo much fun. I hope you continue to earn sales and that NS2 gains the popularity it deserves.
Good luck to all the players there! Looking forward to see this great stream! :-)
