You think I'd still be using the old router if I didn't have t
The crash is only rescuable without restart if I do CTRL-ALT-DEL and log off my user account. I suppose a non-poweruser would just hit the power switch? I would appreciate feedback on if the error handling of Win7 is any better. Win8 isn't firing a "kill this unresponsive program" window as expected.
The router being overloaded would be tolerable if the server browser had a "STOP" button so that after 5 or so good filter results I could tell it to stop pinging the rest of the freakin NS2 universe. What I used to to do with steam's server browser which would try to ping 50000 servers if I'd allow it was I'd favorite a chunk of servers with consistently good pings and then refresh just that, however that functionality is missing in NS2. It might also be nice to have a "only ping servers this continent" setting.

I also have to Log Off on my Win 8 account as the task manager is none-responsive when the game crashes.
