<div class="IPBDescription">Is this Root Server good enough to handle more than 1 NS2 Dedicated?</div>Heyo,
I purchased a new Root Server (Linux) today from Hetzner, which is the EX4. Specifications:
Intel® Core™ i7-2600 3.4 Ghz Quadcore
(incl. Hyper-Threading Technology for 3.8 Ghz)
16 GB DDR3 RAM
2 x 3 TB SATA 6 Gb/s HDD
7200 rpm (Software-RAID 1)
Or check it out here, on the right: <a href="http://www.hetzner.de/en/hosting/produkte_rootserver/ex4" target="_blank">http://www.hetzner.de/en/hosting/produkte_rootserver/ex4</a>
Right now I'm running a NS2 Dedicated using WINE 1.4 and without giving it any specific process priorities or a specific amount of CPUs and it runs with a constact tickrate of 25 - 30 FPS, even during the so called "Late Game"/"End Game" time. (I only reached this with my old Server after giving Server.exe the highest process priority and directly assigning all 4 Cores to it)
Here's performance graph:

You should be able to get away with at least one more instance on that hardware (Assuming you keep the player count the same at the first one).
Just keep an eye on the CPU load and the server tick rate. Although you will have some extra overhead when using Wine, I do not foresee and issues with that setup.
Hell, you may even be able to push 3 in there if you're lucky.
Just remember (Quoting ScardyBob):
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->The best performing servers don't show any tickrate drop, acceptable ones never drop below 20, and at the very least it should always stay above 10.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Hope that helps.
Thank's for the Feedback :)
