Hot Key Assignment & Control Groups

I am a new player of NS2, so I might be ignorant to this particular topic. Most RTS games give you the ability to create control groups for buildings or units. In NS2, APM for a commander is obviously not as intensive as a straight RTS like Starcraft, but control grouping specific things in the game seems like it would be a nice feature to have for NS2. Let me know if NS2 does current have this, or share your opinion!

    i agree with this

    selecting arcs, drones and players when theres a lot of them, its kind of a pain.

    [CTRL]+[1-0] Does bind units/buildings to a number. Pressing it once selects it/them, while a double press will go to them on your screen.

    Double pressing the key for the control group definitely does not work for me in the way that you described, but I wish it did! Are there any known bugs with this? I've tried it repeatedly.

    I too, cannot create control groups. If anyone has any insight let us know :)

    I can't make or use control groups either. I'm not sure why but I've played a thousand strategy games so not being able to do it in NS2 is very annoying.

    If anyone knows how to fix this (bug?) please reply.

    Note: I'm referring to control groups for ARCs and MACs although I can't do it for buildings either.
