Workshop Texture not Working

I've done a quick retexture on the axe. I moved them and replaced the originals in the ns2/models/marine/axe folder. The modified texture shows up in the model viewer correctly, but when I go in game only the old texture appears. I replaced the modified filed with the originals, and published the mod correctly, with nested folders. I unsubscribed to other mods that might have interfered with it, but the texture STILL won't appear for me. Once published, the texture did however work for someone who tested it for me. I am at a loss and don't know how I can enjoy and test my mod.

I have restarted ns2, steam, etc.

ALSO. How do I remove mods from the mod menu once I am unsubscribed? The mods go blank and say No for both 'subscribed' and the other one.

ALSO. How do I remove mods from the launcher?

    @ 1) I don't have a clue about that...sounds really strange. I will look into it, but someone else will most likely help you properly.
    @ 2) All your Workshop Subscribed mods are stored in %APPDATA%/Roaming/Natural Selection 2/WorkShop. They have strange numbers, so you have to check each folder and delete those which you want removed.
    @ 3) You mean from the LaunchPad? There is a big "Delete Mod" Button at the top left. Next to the "Create Mod" button, which is above the "Publisher" Button. At least that's how it is for me.
