Uh... what the title says?
To quote an oft-used phrase from countless game reviews:
"Oh. My. God."
Oh. My. God. The concept of a First Person Real Time Strategy is an amazing thing in itself, but by the sounds of it you're really going to do it justice! Just reading through the info on the game it sounds like the balance between action and gameplay is perfectly... balanced. If you can pull this off (and by the sounds of it you can) then the gaming world is finally going to experience gameplay mechanisms which it has sorely needed for a long time. Like STRATEGY in an online multiplayer game, be it FPS or RTS. Like two sides which balance each other out without being mirror images of each other. Like fast paced action co-existing in the same game as strategy. And to whoever the genius was who came up with the idea of the aliens being able to see each other and what other aliens can see: it would be an honour to kiss the dust at your feet.
I hope this mod gets the publicity it deserves. This is something that could go REALLY far. I can't wait to play it!!

offcourse from my point of view it will, but i've been waiting for alot of mods and stuff, that looks really awesome but when they come out they don't get enough publicity because all the popularity is stolen by the CS and TFC players,
although this IS the best mod i've seen so far so it can go far if enough people get to know about it, as soon as this mod comes out i'm gonna make a web page dedicated to it
and I think you have a point there, this gaming style will be one of the first among it's species, and a new era of gaming will commence, for this we can only thanks the NS crew,
THANKS!
Let's just say there's a 10% crossover. That's still a lot of people. Only time will tell. Thanks for the great comments SoulSkorpion, and welcome to the forums.
btw, here in iceland at least, ppl are starting to play something else then cs because of all the cheaters
*twiddles thumbs, waiting for the the mods release*
(thats the happy dance, it means I'm agreeing that this MOD will r0><0r your b0><0rz, so, its still on topic, however, Im sure the likes of Folken wouldn't understand that. So I put this explination in, just for him ... >=|)
Now, to be on topic. Yes, NS kicks tons of arse. Tons and tons of sweet arse... /me runs
Thanks for the kind words. I DO think NS is pushing the online-strategy envelope, and I think you won't be disappointed.
I seriously doubt you'll see any advertising in PC print mags though, that's big bucks. We're hoping for a couple previews or features though (even better then ads).
Welcome to the community, I hope you choose to get involved somehow.
I'm pretty sure Ns will be mentioned in the "gamespy daily" emails that very many people get each day (yupe, i'm one of them)
I mean, a mod like Ns for half life is kinda... big, so i'm pretty sure Ns will be mentioned there, atleast I hope so
I'm not saying that you were, or you will. But please, avoid it like the plague
So don' worry.
you misunderstand. I mean some games run exclusivly on GSA.
And yes, I know that HL and its mods are currently supported by GS3D (which I have no problem with).
But I'm sure those Gamespy ######## could come out with a patch or something to make NS only work with their spiffy little Arcade ...
agh, I'm just getting parinoid.
