This has been requested many many times and is quite importantly needed for some low-ended NS fans, if low poly alien and human built structures can be made, but still resemble the original structure, that would be GREAT, they shud have the same skin and shape, just less polies, it would just put a smile on the face of all low-end fans of ns, try not to whip the 512x512 skins on either <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> hehe

With that in mind, I would STRONGLY suggest you visit and use every inch of <a href='http://www.neoseeker.com/resourcelink.html?rlid=32417&rid=30618' target='_blank'>this tweak guide</a> you can possibly use to squeeze as much of a framerate as you possibly can out of your ol' beast. You never know. Cutting down on mips and not rendering what isn't seen might help. Hey, your visual quality's going to go down, but at least you'll be moving, right?
Besides rebuilding every model and map in the game in to cubes, that's the best thing you can do for yourself.
I didn't write that guide. I just use it. Read every single word of everything you see in it. Do some research using <a href='http://www.google.com' target='_blank'>Google</a>, if you don't understand some terms or whatnot, but the information's widely available.
and btw ive written tweak guides before and to be honest, no matter how much i tweak half-life and its mods, not a single tweak gives me a boost of even 1 more frame per second, for my pc, it cannot handle polys, it can handle high quality textures and sprites and such, it just does not like polys and dynamic lighting, lol i could have a 1024x1024 texture on a model and have the same exact model with 128x128 and get the same exact framerate, not that half-life supports 1024x1024 <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> well um, im off to play ns_nancy, lol

well thanks for the help anyways, i understand that the models ALONE are low poly but when you have 8 sentries 4 ip's and a phase gate and an armory and.... blah blah, my comp says "just shoot me now and put quake 1 on my hard drive"
The problem with requesting stuff is that the person fulfilling the request usually needs to have some personal interest in the request him/herself. People make hi-poly models because they want hi-poly models for themselves. Releasing it to anybody else is just an affectation of the community thing the Internet allows.
I hope you come across someone with as much interest in low-poly stuff as you do so they have a vested interest in fulfilling your request with you.

the comp is 6 years of age, very slow and my parents REFUSE to buy a new pc because they want me to get a job, well the thing is i have no transportation to work and the nearest workplace is 20 minutes away, walking and 3 by car, im not walking in this 20 degree windy weather, theres no way...... i cant convince their narrow minds, what do i do? well low poly structures would help! a temporary solution until i finally get a new pc
