So wait let me get this straight.. the game releases on the 30th in America? At 12:00 PST? I heard that in one of the live blogs I'm fairly certain. So you're telling me I can actually play this game in about 14 hours?

    Midnight is always a funny concept to grasp for many people, especially with the way you have to word it.

    It will be released Midnight on Halloween - that is the midnight that begins Halloween in the Pacific timezone.

    In other words, 12:00AM / 0:00 on October 31, OR 1 minute after 11:59PM / 23:59 on October 30th.
    Would be 3AM Eastern time, 7AM GMT/UTC October 31.
    As I understand it, anyway.

    This is an awesome idea! It would be so sweet to watch all the developers shout a count down live on stream right before midnight, and then pop open their champagne while cheering and hugging <3

    Yeah, I am celebrating NS2 with the hurricane here, too.
    On the bright side, it means an excuse to stay in and game all day.
    Unfortunately, it seems there's a possibility of the power going out at some point.

    The countdown shows 1 day 12 hours for me in Firefox, but 1 day 5 hours in Internet Explorer. It seems like the countdown unintentionally uses localized time depending on browser language/location set.

    The game will release at 12am/00:00 on the 31st in PDT, which is 3am in EDT, 7am in UTC/GMT and 8am in CET. Time zone stuff is confusing right now because central europe is already in standard time while US still has daylight savings.

    Anyone notice that the release time in Steam is different than the release time on the webpage? Steam says the game is going to release 17hrs later. While I have faith in the NS2 website's countdown, Steam is unnerving me a bit...

    It was said 00.00 PDT on the stram yesterday ( Hugh or Charlie ? ).
    The countdown is indeed messed up as it shows 31st 00.00 local time

    Is the release time 31/10-2012 00:00 PDT? Because the countdown at naturalselection2.com isn't accurate.

    is 1:8:35:00 from now, but it seems as www.naturalselection2.com is counting down to:

    Yeah no kidding. I'm surprised I still have power here in MD right now. I doubt it'll last much longer though. It's okay though because the emergency power red lighting should kick in after only a few seconds.
