As i play kharaa i still am not sure how you use charge, after you click and in charge mode do you haev to keep pressing forward to attack? or if you charge and stand still next to a structure will it attack it whiel standing?
Charge only damages players, not structures. I have at times where I get problems w/ killing some guys with it. I saw screw it and make 'em fly w/ the standard attack, buhahaah.
The effect is devastating – a human doesn't even slow it down, and it hits metal or machinery like a detonation.
As for moving forward, that's something you should be able to test extensively in-game. Don't worry, you have all the time in the world no matter who's shooting you!
Charge does damage structures. Hold "forward" and watch the building's health. After you use charge, you will damage any thing that is in your path by moving into them. The charge last for as long as your energy does.
You will know that you are charging because you will move faster.
It does damage to anything you touch when charge is active. I just run in, touch marines to kill em, then touch a structure and just stand there and watch it's life go down. Does it do more dmg if you keep holding forward? Anyway, it works by touch, like leap for skulk does, though thats kind of lame as you stop the attack the instant you touch something.
PS, it's easier to charge marines when you try to touch them instead of run through em
Yes anything you touch takes damage, person or building. For the best results duck and "rub" against targets and I have never stopped moving while charging, but I do believe you have to keep moving just for that rub effect.
