Streyer Voigt Infinity
Thought I'd release something a little different, this time. Been sitting on this one for weeks, now, without doing anything with it.
If you've seen Insomnia and promotional pictures for the second season of The Shield, you may have seen handguns like these [the one in Insomnia had these sights, but The Shield uses different ones--SVI's are -EXTREMELY- customizeable]. They're easily mistaken for Colt 1911's, unfortunately, which doesn't do them justice. If you still don't know what I'm talking about, go here. Click on the image to see a bit of a slideshow. Click the 2001 Catalog link there or here to see more.
This is a model hack, not completely original. Don't **obscenity** me out for ripping anyone's work. By "hack" I mean it's got components of more than one model from more than one source [full credits given for all pieces included in the ReadMe] put together to make one model. However, I did do some modelling, reskinning and recolouring to make the barrel and dustcover look "hybrid," as well as other aesthetic things. I did not, however, remodel the ejector slot from the 1911 slide to look perfectly like an SVI one, sorry. Changed the head of the bullet to look hollow-pointed, inspired by the %99.95-copper [I think] bullets now being made by Taurus [who make the Raging Bull, you know? ].
I took the LAM and pressure pad off the peewee models so they'd be under 2000 polies. If you ask nicely, I may release the W_model pictured below.

Based on Elindred's fabulous SVI [THAT WAS HIS FIRST RELEASED MODEL, OH, MY GOD, SECKS!!!!!!!!!!!!11one] body with the skin by -X- and Warbeast's orgasmic Mk23 SOCOM LAM.
I reskinned the CS hands to have the glossy plastic gloves from AvP2 because the AvP2 hand models are close on 2000 polies on their own, while the CS hand models are much, much, much less. If you don't like them, do better yourself.
The black/white hands should work.
No HA hands. If someone wants to do them, it'd be appreciated [if you do this, please release them in this thread, or let me update this release with credit to you rather than make a whole nother thread, thank you].
Yes, I'm aware the stirrup cut begins before the rail ends. I think it looks good like that. It wouldn't be like that in real life because the SV factory would **obscenity** you out about it not being "visually appealing" [which they say for the models used in Insomnia and The Shield too, for some reason]. Stretching the barrel and dust cover so the stirrup cut works messes up the "Infinity" text on the side of the cover, anyway.
Have fun.

[Desert Eagle sniper--i suppose the scope should probably come off]
I hacked and converted both for ToD a couple months ago, or so.
Whats the error again? the hands dont show up?
lol, I just wanted to ask if he's going to convert them for tod, I saw him on the tod forum =P
No bugs, Sirus, unless you consider a lack of HA hands an error.
Yeah, guys, like I said, I did them for ToD too.

how in the world are using ironsight weapons considered as cheating?
You don't have a crosshair, you have to aim using the weapon(which blocks the screen 1/3 instead of the normal 1/4 or so)
You have quite a dissadvantage using those models....
/me goes back sleeping now.
Black fingers...? Since you're using HLMV, go to the "Body" tab, hit the "Skins" drop-down menu and look at Skin 2, just for comparison.
I used CS hand models because they have a lower poly-count than any of the others, as I've said, but also because I was doing them to satisfy my own bent toward all these AvP2 conversions. Sorry, guys. If all my other guns have AvP2 hands, but my pistol has NS hands, it doesn't work for me. If I put NS hands on them, it'll be with NS anims, which doesn't do too well because the slide on the NS handgun goes quite far back, and I have no intention of learning how to animate just to fix that. If someone wants to put it on NS hands, be my guest. I personally like them the way it is.
When you expect to have it fixed?
Here>>
I'll fix it in a sec
