I see the windows are blacked out. Is that like how casinos don't have windows? Don't let them see the outdoors so the programmers lose track of time and just...keep....coding....

We never doubted you'd be here for NS2, guys. You should reserve the entire night before the release for victory celebrations and crazy parties; you've certainly earned it.

I think I can say for all the members of the Beta, Alpha, and Engine test players, that we're all excited to see the final moments of the Natural Selection 2 pre-release come to pass.

Be sure to be supportive of new players so we can build a nice and helpful community.

I never played the original Natural Selection, but I played unhealthy amounts of Tremulous. I checked out and bought this beta as Tremulous seemed to be going nowhere, and I had heard of Natural Selection 1 from the Trem community. I played about a year ago and the game wasn't remotely as polished and optimized as it is now, not to mention how many features have changed or been added. I came back in the wake of the Exo reveal trailer, and have begun watching Tournaments and playing quite a bit.

I'm dragging as many people into NS2 as I can, and it's gonna be great to see it launch!

I just wanted to say I love seeing you guys working, doing whatever, doing anything. I'm in college, studying for graphical stuff, and ever since I started playing NS1 ages ago in it's first year I've been inspired to really make something awesome and as inspiring as this.

Just seeing you guys work really amazes me. Not standard cubicles, not a standard game by any means, not standard people (good!).

To this day I am still very happy that I bought the 40 dollar version of NS2.

As a young man just finishing a degree in "Computer Game Design" I honestly don't have words for you blokes.
I have spent the last 10 years complaining about new games being all barbie and no chess and you guys are
re-raising the bar to where it should be.

Hell I would compare you to valve, but I havn't seen anything but some MuuuuumVeeeeMuuuuum out of them
for some time now... So perhaps I need to make more room above valve on my awesome developers chart.

But yeah congrats guys I am proud to say that if in a few years time (or infact at any point in my life) I get
the chance to work with such a dedicated group of people on such an incredible project as this... I have no words.

I would be a very happy man.

    Well said, can't believe it's only t-12!

That calm cannot disguise the excitement ...

Hugh, that left arm needs a bit of work.

Andy. Where did you find him? Dude is straight out hard looking.

game is still in horrible shape. Newcomers will be swayed away by the learning and pros by the ridiculous res mechanics and lack of viable tactics.
Only the classic mod can help

What you guys have achieved is awesome, the game is already great so I can't wait to see what v1.0 brings!

Oh, and it would be a crime if the amazingly disturbing Hughnicorn doesn't make it into the game as an easter egg!

    Good luck dudes.

I hope Brian (chops) does a tutorial video on animation graphs at some point, that stuff confuses me to no end.

I personally prefer Alpha Brian, he stares intensely into your soul... <i>He's seen s*** man</i>... Back in <b>'Nam</b>. War changes a man, I heard that once you go, you never really leave.... Nothing can break a broken man.

    He's a <i>programmer</i> son; he eats babies.

All I can say is: Stay independant, don't get seduced by the greed of big publishers and don't turn into an abbomination like Activision, EA or Ubisoft. The market hasn't seen a game like NS2 for years! Everything is about sales, arcade and casual games nowadays. Being a indie dev is what makes you guys great, you can do what you want and you can work to perfection! Obviously everyone wants to earn money, and you guys deserve it no doubt, but your passion for games is what makes you stand out.

Keep up the good work guys, it was well worth the wait! :D
