Losing A Hive With Around 40 Res...

wait to fade or keep up the fight?
in your opinion what's the best strategy when you have nearly the 44 res needed to become fade while your 2nd hive is getting sieged or taken out in some form??? it really hurts me sometimes to sit there and see all my teamates dying, and the hive being completely destroyed, though I always think there might be a way to get them before it's too late. but at the same time that minute or 2 of just sitting there waiting for those few extra resources could bring me to a much higher advantage, and could be our only chance of getting the hive back. but also what if the gorges aren't bright enough to have 3 movement chambers at the other hive?? what do you guys do?

I don't believe they like double postings on this board (this thread and this one - http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/in...php?act=SF&f=1).

? that link leads to the general discussion for me,

if you get close, changing to fade is a must b4 the hive goes down, one thing you have to make sure, is that you don't die, get gorges sitting at a safe point to heal you at every chance you get, it annoys the hell out of the marines if they get the second hive down then 2 fades turn corner and rocket their base, i've played a great comeback game going fade asap

Definetly gestate to Fade. If the second hive is about to go down, it is doubtful that a single skulk is going to be able to do much. You will be much more of a help to your team as a Fade, especially when the marines think they're safe from them

I just love the agony on the marines face if they suddenly see a few fades after they have taken out an hive with alot of effort, they tought they won,but suddenly that hope is scattered, and if there is anything i don't love more, than it is proving dumb-dumbs wrong.

It's also a nice distraction. Like if I show up as a fade after they kill the 2nd hive, then they think, "oh, they got the other hive up? well let's go check it out!" and then voila the marines are all headed to one spot where you can either ambush them or destroy their defenses at the other hive, or both

if they take your 2nd hive early enuff with seige then be assured there broke with little or no upgrades.
Go fade and raise hell, get your gorges building res ASAP, keep em poor!

Ive seen players go from 5-5 to 30-5 once they go fade vs lmg's. You should be able to wipe the map with them regardless. As mentioned just stay alive
