While talking about C1E, when I recently rebuilt the server, I left it in "Balanced" mode, which instructs windows to use 5-100% of the cpu, depending on load. It was horrible for the whole 5 minutes until I set it to 100-100.
I think I had already set C1E to disabled in the bios though. I guess at this current stage, it probably helps to do everything possible to get max performance.
Ok, so I asked what steps were taken and this is what I was told: "I unchecked the box for C1E using CPU tweaker. <a href="http://www.tweakers.fr/cputweaker.html"" target="_blank">http://www.tweakers.fr/cputweaker.html"</a> He didn't need to get into the BIOS after all. Regarding KVM over IP, I was right - you have to email them and they set it up for a few days.
