Totally! We should also have NS2 for xbox kinetic! Think of all the fun you can have with your family! Little Jesse there is hopping like a dog to move his Skulk around, while his sister Sally is crawling around, making her Gorge bellyslide!
And then, oh! Their daddy comes walking in and nails them both into the floor with his machinegun! What fun!
Grandpa John can be a commander - Doesn't require so much flexibility. Although he's stubbornly refusing to build anything else before someone completes his phasegate infront of the main enemy hive! Oh, grandpa!

.....thats just the controller. You dont necessarily play the game on that (although you can, it can stream from the console to the controller).
You could use that controller screen to show the map or do something clever with alien vision (see <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=4e3qaPg_keg#t=69s" target="_blank">this</a>).
Not that we will ever see NS2 on a console, but the WiiU does have better hardware than the 360 and PS3

Too bad the kinect sensor sucks and can't read small details like jaw movement. Actually biting to get your skulk to bite ingame would be hilarious.

1) Never claimed Wii had powerful hardware. Just saying its greater than the 360 and PS3, which the devs have stated interest in porting to.
2) Consoles do not need as powerful as hardware to run games. They have a lot less overhead and consistent hardware, meaning optimizations are much easier.
3) I never stated I think NS2 should be or will be on Wii U, just dont understand all the hate the Wii U is getting.

Thanks for turning this "wtf?"thread into an "ahahaha full win" thread, would read again xD
@Ryne Tbh i don't think the Wii U outperforms the 360 or PS3 by much, Nintendo's aim had been to finally get into the "HD era" of gaming and for that they only need to compete with the current gen hardware. Not to mention that different hardware architectures are usually a pita to compare in terms of performance.

The Wii-U controller would work well for NS2 (if it could be stripped down and ported). Think about having the map or commander orders being shown on the controller screen. Think about the commander having the overhead RTS view on the controller where they can draw out plans and play using the stylus.

No, no and no. Sorry but i don't even want to think about that, heck my brain won't even go that far without me actively trying (and i'm usually a pretty imaginative person). Just the thought of playing an Skulk or Fade with controller analog sticks makes my brain hurt, as the game right now has way more pressing issues than making it work on any kind of peripherals besides mouse+kb.
Could it work? Maybe, yes with a lot of changes to a lot of things heavily impacting gameflow and tons of other things. Is it something i would look forward to? Hell no... maybe it's the PC gaming elitist in me but there are some gameplay styles that i simply would never want to play without mouse+kb.
In some alternate reality there could be asymmetric multiplatform gameplay with touch controls, in an large scale NS2 that has 2 commanders per team for example. Yes that's an concept i would love to see in reality, but the chances of it happening and it being viable for UWE are basically 0%.
I don't know about the wii u not even xbox360, they will be working for a long time on PC version and by the time they want to do it I am sure it might end up on the next xbox or ps4 just because of better hardware.
