holy crap this is the bigest undertaking ive ever done, its huge, i dont think i can d it all. im trying to make all of the textures in natural selection like that of aliens... jesus someone had better help

    I replaced all the textures in ns_eclipse.wad but it didn't work. I think the maps have built-in wads.

    u can't edit the wad files.
    because the bsp files will not work.

    when u change the wad file, the textures and the wad file are not the same!

    then when u run the map it says it cant find the .....wad. or something of this iam thinking.


    so u must edit the whle map with the textures in Worldcraft!

    Hrrm. I thought about doing the same thing (I have lots of custom wads for CS maps), but if the maps use wadinclude anywhere it could make things very tricky.

    From my knowledge of mapping I don't believe you can convert the textures and have them work in the map, the original wad that is used on the map is hard coded into the .bsp file...unless someone knows how to get that to work...

    importede the gif into the wad file... played for some time and couldnt see it...but i'm not sure the map i played used the texture i replaced :-S

    just use a wally and convert your .bmp in to a .wad and try using them as textures.

    wads aren't hard coded, the mgs pack for cs replaces alot of textures. i wouldn't download the pack, it replaces textures for other mods too

    well.... i used Wally and i opened the ns.wad which seems to be the "main" wad file... it was the one i tried it with... and it worked <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    alrighty, heres what i did. i basicly put a little stand in tex in place of all the old alien ones, so its still kinda **obscenity**, but im gonna go back and redo it, mark each witha red # and figure out how to make this look right. its gona be a tad hard but i might be able to pull it off. maybe not by xmas, got a lot of stuff in my real life, but we shall see, heres some pics to show you what I mean.
