why are you you locking down the game for features when its not ready? It needs it's features like babblers and so on. When ones like those are added after v1.0 it will be like a beta build all over again! *sigh* DON'T DO IT I BEG YOU!

I basically think they should actually finish the game before putting it out into the wild
Define "finished". This isn't a generic console game in the sense that you can only launch when it's 100% finished because you can't patch anything besides small hotfixes. 1.0 is just the begining, as it has been said many times.
Babblers as a feature are irrelevant to most games, they're an endgame crag ability probably meant to troll marines. Kinda like the mothership in SC2, only useful to shame your opponent.
Dynamic Infestation is just a graphical upgrade that will likely eat up FPS, it's not needed, nor welcome at this time. Cyst system makes for much faster and dynamic games, much better than spending 10 minutes spamming a flamethrower around a corridor to clean infestation.
I can't think of any other features that aren't implemented, please remind me.

@op, adding new features will most likely produce bugs and this close to release the performance and balancing outweigh the need for features. After 1.0 the devs can ease off the 2 weekly or weekly schedule they used and perhaps go back to monthly schedules to have more time to test and perfect new features.
In the end a feature lock is the only logical right now...
