Granted no one has actually confirmed the size of this supposedly vast Diamond mind impact site, but if true that is a trillion or so dollars worth of Diamonds...

    Not to mention diamonds are not inherently valuable. Their value stems almost solely from how rare they are - which they aren't. The supply is merely being kept low artificially to inflate the price. It's impossible for more than a few people to get rich off diamonds. Various african diamond mines could completely FLOOD the market with gemstone diamonds tomorrow if they wanted to. But why would they want to? All they'd do is drive the price down. Why sell five tons of diamonds for X money when you can dictate the price and sell five kilos of diamonds for the same price?
