I did attempt to search for "mac version" but the board refuses to let you make searches with three letter terms so, here we are. The wording re: the mac and Linux versions was pretty vague in the article I read. Anything from the devs on ETA of the mac version?
They want to do Mac and Linux versions but it will take a lot of work and the PC version will have to be successful to fund the ports. So don't expect it any time soon after post 1.0.
I read a website that did a brief interview and review sort of thing, they said it would be released for all 3 platforms. It didn't sound right when I read it though. Mainly because I remember hearing at the PAX panel that they had created the tools to transfer NS2 to OpenGL, but didn't have the time or manpower to tackle it just yet.
Well, just don't buy a Mac :P or install windows on it. MacOS is not for gaming, it's for telling apple, and apple telling the marketing-companies where you are and what you do all the time.
Let's make an endless Apple vs. Microsoft thread out of this one! I miss the 90s :D

Unfortunately that wouldn't be possible since it would require a rewrite of the closed-source renderer to use OpenGL. However, Max has talked about the possibility of opening up parts of the engine to community members that are interested in porting to other OSs.

Unfortunately I have to agree. Me and my brother have paid an excessive amount of money for 2 Mac computers in the past (a few years apart) and each time we have sold them and got and PC which is a whole lot better for a lot less money. I have give up on apple, they are, for lack of a better term, crap
