Marine Screams

I was watching the casts today and hugh said theyre taking out the marine screams for 218? Apart from the exo, this was my favorite change. Personally I would have taken it over the new GL and lerk models. I thinks its hilarious. Can we keep this on as an option?

+1, leave it as an option! Oh ,also realize it helps new players know when someone has died.

As somebody who's played way too much NS2, it certainly has been a funny change to me, the sound always makes me laugh. But tbh i think it's killing the mood of the game for people who are not that used to it yet, it just sounds way too funny for the serious setting/atmosphere.

Maybe add another more "serious" sound and only have the "funny one" play very seldom? That way it still stays in the game and leads to some good laughs from time to time without killing the whole mood.

I can vouch that the new death screams are a bit silly sounding, but if anything is going to be done to tone them down there must be a option to keep the new screams. They are just so amusing and really make that preceding skulk crunching bite that much more satisfying.

I think they are being replaced, not just removed. As well as the non working voiceovers atm.

Someone save the death scream files for now so we can mod them back in client-side. Problem solved.

I'm glad the screams are being removed. I only found it hilarious the first time. They really do need to be worked on.

Marine scream shouldn't be deleted, it's basically the only sound that I actually like in ns2.

I would like to hear some gargling and the sound of choking on their own blood.

I personally love the Marine scream too.

I also don't want it changed, the Girlie scream is perfect! I so would scream like that if I died to an alien!!!
