Question About Resource Draw

Why is it that when you have no resource towers you still get resource points? To me, eliminating this would seriously speed up the end game. No res tower, no vent camping no last minute turret building no more weapons no more hiding gorges trying to build when they think then can but in reality they can't. Seems like a good idea to me.

its to prevent the aliens/rines from being screwed if they lose their first res tower early game. It's fine, leave it alone... However I WOULD add something where if there is only 1 marine / alien on the team for more than 3-10 minutes, he dies & the game ends.

OK, so make it a limited time thing instead of a whole game thing. You should be screwed if you lost all your res towers especially by the middle of the game,

I think the neatest thing about this game is the awful places that great teamwork can bring you back from. Like this morning, in a game where the marines had 2 hives and had all but won, the alien team all got together as skulks, rushed into a hive, used the phase to get to the main base, killed every marine there before they knew what was happening, and chomped both infantry portals in 2 seconds. Everyone was dead but the comm, and he was surrounded by skulks chewing on his chair. But anyway, the game has a great balance, and very unexpected things can happen because of certain little things like this. That was my very long-winded point. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'>
