<div class="IPBDescription">Accepting requests</div>I've been having fun playing in the Cinematic Editor. Considering the amount of free time I have plus the many maps under construction, does anyone have requests?

Somehow lost over half of this post. I think I have re-entered everything.

Will have to remake the file to add flames since a bug in the editor prevents me from adding them. Not going to do that untill after the games release.

    Maybe the generic door jamming against something in the way? Spinning asteroids on the drift?
    I could use brainstorming help on how to make my sun look more active and boiling

    +1 for spinning asteroids


    Also I'd love an active forcefield effect - like a green or blue force field that would be inside a docking bay to seperate space and air - you know the typical starwars thing :) I guess similar to an active phase gate

    edit - also would absolutley love some flowing water - kind of like the water fall, but not so giant..... something like 128x512 maybe

    hovering shuttle with steam and stuff could be useful to have :) but its nothing specific i need at the moment, but good to know you offer this :)

Does anyone know the best way from a performance standpoint to implement multiple cinematic objects? i.e does a mapper place lots of individual cinematic asteroids or large single cinematic?

    A static Dropship with active bottom thrusters, headlights (pointlights), red gun light, but landing gear is deployed and the missile enclosures are shut. I cannot change the last two things. I'll create a 'floating' dropship, and dust clouds at a later date.

    I don't need these but would use them if they were made and i'm sure they would make a great collection.

    Sercurity Camera doing a scanning sweep.
    Search Lights doing a sweep
    An Oozeing slime drooping from the ceiling would be awesome.
    A Spider building a web able to place it in corners and doorways.

    any or all of these would be great for atmosphere.

    There is already a force field effect (just added in 216)? materials\effects\forcefield_tile.material that can be applied to surfaces .

    Thanks for these nice additions. Perhaps it's an idea to catalog all your creations in the first post, perhaps with a youtube video showing them? That would be awesome, and convenient.

    Setting up a youtube account is such a drama. I'll have to work that out later. For now, I've posted links to videos hosted on my dropbox account. They play in your browser with flash player similar to youtube.

    It is as I had feared. Some cinematics have become corrupt from game patches. I'll have to fix and reupload.
    Best example of this is the compatibility cinematic included in the game (gorge reveal).
