So i preordered on Aug 8, and i tried to download and its keeps saying registration is disabled. Is the registration on the new site down or is regristration in general down?

It's a miscommunication. If you received your pre-order key, you can add NS2 to steam using the "+ Add a game" button on the bottom of your steam game list.
I'm not 100% sure on where the button is because I'm at a work PC and don't have steam in front of me, but you <b>can</b> activate NS2 right now, for sure.

Thanks i got to work..... although i feel like complete idiot and A$$ for not realizing the add a game button on my steam... Its not like i've had it for like 2 years now.
