Every time, when i join a game, I get these odd graphics that appear stretched on my screen, and it only recently started happening when the new patch came out ...

the artifacts were horizontal though, like a big floor poligon floating mid air.
Never happened in any prior versions.

Try deleting your NS2 cache at: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Natural Selection 2\cache - delete all the files in the cache folder. It won't mess with any of your game settings or anything. That fixed it for me.
Ah sorry then. The problem I had looks pretty much exactly like this, but it was on a map testing build and I think it happened because I force-closed the game when it was in the middle of downloading shaders from the server.. so I suggested the fix I found :s
Also it seems more common on the Nvidia 560 cards, though it has been happening on other Nvidia hardware as well.
Performance is really good but after the second game the artifacts made it unplayable... I was having so much fun I refused to stop playing tho :P
Anyways, pretty specs would help guys,
I have a 560 ti with the latest nvidia drivers on a clean windows install
Running windows 7 pro
It's not all the time either, most of the times I'm ok. But once I see a texture stretching it gets worse as the game goes on until I can't play anymore.
I also am using a 560TI
