it needs to be more organic though, it's not like the aliens have heat vision goggles, they have heat sensors.
Best feature ever invented in gaming history!
FPS and RTS are my two favorite genres that it was inevitable that I would start playing in a genre that combines both.
thats a feature now? lol :P
Yeah! TotalBiscuit introduced it ;)
Being able to knock a skulk back mid leap with rifle butt and pistol whip.
I find rendering engine really amazing in this game, ever since the first tech video was released with all placeholder Khaara models it struck me how atmoshperic can a sci-fi game be. The only gripe is about the dull scenery and monotonous color choice that makes all maps and corridors look nondifferentiable. I recall NS1 levels featured virtually every color in the palette imaginable, including all shades of pink, beige, magenta and yellow. Now it's all black gloom and doom ;). But still, it has a great potential even if for further games built on it.
Why do this to us. My friend who does not even have the game(yet) is drooling at the very idea. Imagine what it does to your actual playerbase...

Hmm, my "single favorite ns2 feature" was at the first announce of ns2, the dynamic infestation, which isn't sadly in and i guess will not come in.
I guess my favorite feature of ns2 are the effects/particles, it just looks amazing how some effects/particles looks.
