Is ns being copied as another game ?
I dont know about you guys, but there is a new game called "savage" that, apparenttly, is the same "type" as NS. I dont know much about it, but i know that it is set in a "Celtic"-ish or "medieval"-ish world (not so sure about it but whatever..). there are players who play as rts and others as fps. remember i dont know much about it but could it be a copy of ns ?
**note***: i just read there web-site. Graphicaly, its great, but it is THE SAME gameplay as NS. FULL SAME. They use "commander" for rts thigny too. what the hell is happening here ? and NO im not doing publicity for them

Of course, this is a foolish notion. Savage isn't an NS clone.
**greedo** this game isnt just rts, its fps too and thats what made me post this. (quake=halflife=unreal= any other first person shooter, ). bleh, nvm
(for the TW peeps)
But i do think NS is the first game to mix RTS and standard FPS gameplay (ie troops/infantry). The other games were mostly vehicles.
now that i know Savage is tryin to mix it up.. i have to check the game out. Before i didn't give a damn about the game. lol
This celtic game = Not free, not nessecarily good
hmmm... ponder ponder...
Vaporware, anyone?
The Commander was a NPC, I do believe.
ns is a FPSRTSS using the half-life engine
so its better
there is no crime in using similar storylines and Sci-Fi ideas... sif human Vs Alien is a novel concept

Starcraft does not = Warcraft.
There is a post on the savage website where people argue which game might be better. Until the game isn't finished this is ridicoulus. So lets wait and see what Savage has to offer and form an opinion then.
Prota
Someone should sue those guys for copying other people's hard work!

I just got out of an Intel/Ritual Entertainment workshop at CPL, and they refused to comment on TFC2, saying they're focusing entirely on Condition Zero right now.
Vaporware is right. Whatever happened to that Duke Nukem game? I've forgotten what it's called since it's been so long.
Errr no. The commander was going to be similar to the NS comm and it's likely that this inspired Flayra in part. (I don't remember reading anything about an RTS view in the original design docs on his site.) It doesn't matter in any case, similar games exist (to just about every game). Welcome to the real world.
