Yes, comments are always nice to receive. I've learned to live with how the game is now but, it's sometimes necessary to report what may or may not be wrong with the game so it can be fixed for future generations of players.
Yes NS owns, yes there is alot of complaints bout it but it is sometimes good so that they can fix what most people dont like bout the game and draw a bigger crowd.
NS owns, it's true. Most of the people that complain about the game don't really know what they are talking about, and you can tell when reading their posts. I wouldn't go on the record as saying that NS is 100% balanced, but it is not as bad as people make it out to be, and any RTS game (or in this game, FPS with RTS elements, or vice versa) does not become balanced overnight. They have been releaseing new patches that change the balance of StarCraft for 4 years, to expect a game made by an unpaid developer to have perfect balance in 2 months, when the biggest RTS company in the world couldn't get their game right in 4 years, that is just silly.
I've said it before, if these hot shots think NS sucks and that they can do something better, go for it. It sounds like they think they know what's up, where is their uber-fantastic game that will make NS look like yesterday's news?
Just think for one second about NS. RTS and FPS in one combination. How can you go wrong with that? Oh my lord! HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG?! It's almost impossible.
Combining probably the two biggest generes into one game has totally satisfied my dreams of playing a utopia-like game.
It may seem weird but, I'm almost in a constant state of perpetual de ja vu when playing NS. That's probably a good thing.

Tell me how many other threadings just do nothing but praising? Hrmm... any? There probably will be but, not enough to out-weigh or even come close to the bashings.
Would you rather have a group of flunkies mindlessly telling you everything was super green or a group of critics that are brutally honest with their opinions?
Of course, since the honest critics even bother to write pages and pages of review and opinion and suggestion, shows that they do indeed care a great deal, making praise a moot point.
It's the fact that we are here and are endlessly debating the things that the devs couldnt possibly have thought of/planned for/planned against shows our devotion and unvoiced praise.
Who wants to be complacent? We all try for it but never get it, for to be truly complacent is the closest approximation of happiness that we can achieve. If you were truly happy/complacent, though, would you ever want to change anything? Would you ever care if anything got changed? If you want to be complacent, go watch MTV, otherwise, try to make something you enjoy even better.
::shrug:: I'm not saying its perfectly balanced. Read my post before you assume I did. How do you come to the conclusion that I think all criticism is bad just because I think this mod's creators deserve a little praise? Hello?
I am saying that if I worked damn hard making a game that is free to the public I would sure as hell appreciate a pat on the back once in a while. And I've seen a lot of "Marines win 15% of time, aliens win 85%," ranting over fades, demands for new features, and flaming over certain exploits. These guys have created something awesome and I've been hard pressed to find much of anything telling them someone appreciates it.
If you would rather read 100% flame, go ahead. You don't belong in this thread and probably don't belond in NS.
ns is by far the not the game that was hyped for 2 years, people are leaving b/c of the amount of bugs/flaws in the game and alot of them are clearly visible so i ask 'why have playtesters if they can't point out obvious inbalances' , i know there's a limit to what people can do but you can't stop there, why not have more playtesters, more forum moderators, more people codeing while the dev's take a break, it's a free mod sure but that in no way means it should only be half-completed.
one last thing i'm sick of these **obscenity** that think their word has more value over the next

Yeah, that's what I thought.

I sure hope I'm a good enough person to play NS though.
Praise is good, but like noimagination said,
a message of nothing but praise is in content value alone, worthless..
I tend to show that I care and am happy about what happens with my most favoritiest game ever within my posts, rather than flocking and worshipping.
I agree NS owns ^_^
