Forcing Screen Resolution?

<div class="IPBDescription">Help me force 1600x1200 OGL</div> For some odd reason, Half-Life refuses to save my resolution preference, forcing me to manually set it each time I play. I'd have no problem with this, but it makes using All Seeing Eye impractical, since I end up playing at the lowest resolution.
I've checked lists of command line options, and not found anything (yet) that will force the game into a particular resolution. Ideally, I'm trying to force 1600x1200 in openGL. Any takers?

It sounds to me like whatever file that is has probably been set as read only in windows...
I would've thought that file would be config.cfg but i couldn't see anything in there along those lines...
create a file named res.reg for example (but with the .reg extension) and write this there:
<!--c1--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Half-Life\Settings]
"EngineType"=dword:00000002
"EngineModeW"=dword:00000640
"EngineModeH"=dword:000004B0
"EngineModeBPP"=dword:00000010
"EngineModeCaptured"=dword:00000001
"EngineMode"=dword:0000000a<!--c2--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->
Now execute the file each time before running HL. Maybe the all seeing eye can do this for you. Try it.

Playa, as a matter of fact I DO own a 21 inch monitor. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> But that is beside the point. As it stands, the game defaults to the -lowest- resolution (320 x something), which is unacceptable.
-w 1600 to the cmd line happy gameing...i use 1600x1200 witrh a 19 inch mdl graphics so clear woot
