I think the change of removing the Energy(/spam-ability) is a very good one, using "real" resources (t-res) is much more interesting strategically - it gives nice trade-offs and decisions.
..compared to energy which was just "spam away" and let the energy replenish.
Just one example are beacons, now there's actually a trade-off for a beacon while in dire need of one. And aliens can "force" marines to beacon under a siege, resulting in starving the marines. Instead of, with energy, just build a few Obs and spam beacon to your hearths content:P
(Same goes for marines with e.g. crag, shift and shade abilities.)

Can't wait for the 210 res model, it's going to be awesome.

BTW the stream also said they were doubling the t-res production from RTs (1 tick per 4 sec down from 1 per 8, I think) so it won't be the choke it seems it would be with the current production. If anything teams will have too much res I think and it will need to be tuned from there. (I assume that p-res gain will remain unchanged?)

Would be nice to see energy removed and make things cost, energy does not make things but powers things :P

but now is question how much will a medpack cost or ammo pack, aliens got unlimited attack ability wich get slowed when not having enough attack energy left also when they out of combat ability to regenerate health prety fast if you ask me, while marines on other hand got limited amount of bullets and are more reliable on commander put down medpacks or ammo packs for them then aliens.

Do alien upgrades cost Pres again then? not realy fair let one team relye very much on commander while other team are more on there own only need commander for income and upgrades that are also free for them to apply when ever they want.
