<div class="IPBDescription">Running larger (custom) map rotation</div>Hello community.
Seeing how little playtime the custom maps are getting, we decided to put some of the playable custom maps on our map rotation.
This means that our server "duplexgaming.co.uk Public" are now running the following maps:
ns2_summit, ns2_mineshaft, ns2_tram, ns2_turtle_b2c1, ns2_eclipse_beta_v04, ns2_kleos_a05, ns2_tanith_v02, ns2_triad_beta2

We would like to see some full games on these maps, so the mappers can get more feedback (<a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showforum=105" target="_blank">mapping forum</a>).

    That will happen to Duplex Server also as long as ingame downloads don't work.
    Lots of PPL may join on a Tramround and then be kicked on mapchange and can't reconnect. From now on the Server will be ignored.

    There will only be a bunch of PPL playing on this Server and it will be full sometimes (spontaneous).
    Lots of players are lazy, so if the can't connect the go on another Server, and don't read the Forums.

    I will join it from time to time, because the Last time I played Triad on a large game was 5months ago?

    Also great idea with the Mappack, maybe ask Hugh to do a tweet/FB-Post/Twitch about it!

    Yea, I kind of wish they would change the missing map error from "File not found" to "Map not found".
    I believe that would decrease the confusion when players get disconnected.

    This is the problem with custom map servers without custom map downloads. The only time I've seen custom map matches are during scrims, gathers, or the occasional situation where one of the server operators has enough people on their friends list playing NS2 and willing to join a custom map match.

    Was really fun yesterday. I wish more people would download it even though we got the server filled eventually. :)

    Idea: Would it be possible to change the name of the server to something that tells other players to download the mappack? Then again i guess that would be too long for the serverbrowser to show as a name. :/

    the trans^cend server was the only NA server active late last night, and they were doing these maps. was pretty fun exploring the new maps, once i downloaded each map when they changed it. its not too hard to organize atm, but once the auto downloading goes in, we'll prolly have active custom servers every day. cant wait!
