Client-performance, while really bad, doesn't even come close to how horrifically slow servers are (no, 4.5GHz Sandybridges don't count, although even those run badly, which just goes to show).<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Well, I won't argue against it since I have no experience running servers, but:

4.5 GHz servers can keep a 6v6 at stable 30 ticks (the max), while my 4.7 GHz "client" can't even keep 50 fps stable throughout the game (100 fps being max).

Hey I was Navy as well, EM2N - Nuclear Electrician on the USS West Virginia. As for 3-guns I have only done one and had to use borrowed guns. Only have enough money for the XDm 9mm's I use for Production class. I would love to own a nice 2011 to turn into a limited class gun. But, if I did that I might as well get my own presses since hollow/flat .40's are getting more and more expensive to buy.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    neeerrrrd :) :) :)
    I was with cvn74 stennis as a GM2 seattle/san diego
yeah I had borrowed my friend's ar10 (he had the sling) .. fun stuff...
    ...
but yes they do draw it pretty damn fast and while moving

I thought awhile back that it would be kindda of a good secondary for the pistol to have a slight zoom... lerks in cavern, long hallways,etc...

Aye, I'll believe that. But you must surely realise the absurdity of what you're saying. 6v6 is the lowest player-count where a solid game of NS can be had, and 30 ticks is the lowest tickrate before things start to turn really bad, and for only that you need an insane server (by any standard) to sustain it. That's naats. Choosing between a wobbly 40-50FPS and a server that chokes and dies at 10v10, I'll settle for less than spiffing client-performance.

Oh and yes, pistols draw too slow etcetc, and secondary-fire is questionable.

in ns1 i bound my mwheelup and down to +attack just for pistol. Could easily empty the 10 bullet clip in less than 2 seconds (maybe 1.5 secs to be exact)
This resulted in major burst damage to any target, combined with how much faster the pistol draw was- it was deadly

    I hate you.

You didn't need to mwheel +attack or script the pistol though, it was easy enough to click mouse1 fast enough to hit the ROF cap with a little practice.
