Lerk Bile Bomb

Synergy with Skulks, Fades and Onos and making Lerk-only rushes not viable.
Could take stacks into account, adding 5% each stack up to a maximum of e.g. 30%.
Damage over time component would be scaled down if this was added.

Of course, numbers are just placeholder. But the idea is that such a change would lessen the effectiveness of Lerk-only rushes, and instead work best with diversity in the team. Another idea would be for the Bile Bomb also increase damage taken on marines. I don't know the proper word for it, but I imagine Bile Bomb on a marine would make their armour 'brittle'.

Anyway, I&S forum is never really read by the devs it seems like, but I wanted to share it. There.

    Bile bomb doesn't need to do anything other than damage. I made an extensive thread a few weeks ago about changes you could make to the bile bomb, but the only way for it to be balanced is to remove the damage from it if it does any crowd control effects like this. Either bile bomb is a AoE damager or it's an AoE crowd control, not both.

    I agree, but then again both the +% melee damage taken and DoT effect are all numbers that can be balanced out. It does not simply go into the category of "No.", although I do see your point why you'd think that.

    Your way is not the only way.

    The idea of making bile bomb synergise with other lifeforms has been around for a while, and is quite obvious. There must be some reason UWE hasn't taken that route, its not immediately obvious to me though.

    It's not a matter of my way or his way it's a matter of balance. If it does damage it's going to be too powerful if it also does crowd control effects. If you read my topic I offered suggestions to make it syngergize extremely well with other life forms but no on really discussed it. Also, the changes made to it in my suggestion would actually buff it if you had a competent team, all it meant was that lerks couldn't harass bases forever as easily
