<div class="IPBDescription">ON | OFF option for PhaseGates</div>i had some ideias lately sometimes but i never posted here.
dunno how the feedback works.
so one of those ideas was if the phase gates had a POWER ON AND OFF swith
so marine commander could use to focus on tatics avoiding new players to get lost and teleporting around to 2 or more phase places.

i as a player and commander when comes to phase gates sometimes i get frustrated teleporting around to one or more points getting stuck or lost

    Extremely simple and awesome solution to having to phase between 4-5 different gates on a map that aren't needed. Also now you dont have to recycle them to make travelling easier... in case you lose your forward phase gate you can turn on the old one again.

    Yeah, I like this. Having >2-3 active phasegates is a detriment to your mobility.

    Please include control of Infantry Portals in this, and you have yourself a +10!

    Does the game really need this, though?
    Part of NS is managing your phase gate chain and accepting the tradeoffs it creates. I don't see a problem with leaving this part of the game the way it is.

    It decreases the time in commute between PG's and also could be used to fake out aliens into thinking the PG isn't linked yet, or something like that. It also allows the comm to stop his marines from going into a gorefest.

    This would be one way of fixing the confusion, a selection screen for which phase gate you want to travel too works aswell, or making the commander being able to choose which order you are going to travel through them all..

    I have suggested this before and I still think its a good idea.
    It adds to the skillcap of commanders and reduces the tiresome phasing through multiple phasegates.

    It souldent take the devs a very long time to code either.

    I made this <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=114580" target="_blank">thread</a> in early August last year, and later on another person revisited the idea, and since then several more threads have popped up, like this one. This idea has been explored to death, and it's all been ignored, or simply not implemented.
