Mineshaft changes

Given the recent 'changes' in Mineshaft - the blocking of some passages and re-routing of others - is it possible to make the map 'dynamic' by allowing different corridors/passsages/doors etc to be random so we don't get the usual Skulk rushes etc...<!--fontc--></span><!--/fontc-->

    No, randomness has no place in any sort of competitive game. Randomized spawns already bad enough. I always prefer drill repair spawn as marine and cave as alien so the hive is more difficult to assault, though the other spawn is good too; I just prefer the safer spawn.

    Mineshaft isn't a competitive map, unfortunately. It seems like a map built for 9v9 or 10v10 which is completely unplayable at the moment. Perhaps in the future 10v10 showmatches will be alright, but I doubt a map that big will be competitive.

    So NS2 is an eSport? No-one plays for fun any more? The suggestion was actually aimed at the playability and to provide a little variety. But I'm guessing as it has not generated any further responses then it hasn't been met favourably... Thanks for reading though...

    I think they should address the massive imbalances first, i.e it's called alienshaft for a reason currently.

    People play for fun, getting shafted because you got unlucky on a dice roll isn't fun, however.

    The only way I could see this implemented as a good thing would be to have passages into Marine spawn close according to random start locations. Anything else would serve to troll the players.
