Seriously, why should it even be there. Get rid of it. I shouldn't even have to argue this.

[205]* Fades now "fade" out instead of disappearing instantly. While fading out, they can be damaged.

I don't see a need to make them get hurt while in shadow step; Nor have you given valid points on to why it should be removed.

Because the invincibility gives the fade a get out of jail free card doesn't have any "fade in" time when it's coming out of the shadowstep where it can't do anything. What other mechanic in the game lets you not take damage, nothing.

Perhaps an attack delay after fading would balance both teams not being able to do damage in that moment.

    This sounds better at balancing.

If you give a delay after all of the movement abilities, how are the fades going to attack anyone? They can't even hit jp'ers now.

You'd just end your shadowstep earlier. Also, all they have to do is just run around until a jper runs out of fuel considering its limited supply, or peak their shadowstep at the proper moment to hit JPers.

No shadow step in awesome the way it is, they've been dumbing it down since its release anyways, it was suppose to be like teleporting but its not anymore enough damage has been done.
