did a nice post of this before, then clicked preview without knowing my internet was down = all f-ing irreversibly gone.
lesson: always ctrl+c the text window BEFORE preview/post!
anyway, here's a quick copy-paste from my "scratchpad":
<b>shotgun has a delay from pressing LMB to firing on screen (try out ns1)</b>
[General off-by-one-frame issue for all animated attack triggers]?
marine com controls SUPERBUGGED:
-nano-shield can be cast a relatively long time after death (on ragdoll?), resulting in very crucial N-S being wasted
-assist screen gets de-selected ALL THE TIME in intense situations when giving meds (and ammo)
<b>-(not bug, feature request) com controls and FPS controls should have separate bindings</b>
-sometimes rarely, resnodes become not able to drop rt on. seems mostly happen after some reccyles when attacked, but other circumstances can't be ruled out.
-sometimes (think when more than 1 CC/obs) assist ability buttons like N-S/scan are not darkened but abilities can't be cast
-sometimes when scanning the sound plays but no scan, seems no energy drain either.
<b>bilebomb blocks welding, even some time after it's visuals disappear</b>
arcs that start firing on a target, then lose the scansight of it, won't do any dmg when firing
arc attacks seem superbugged; either fires multiple times (1 for every building??) or splash diameter is near as wide as range
mines explode TOO slow (there's a delay, in ns1 it's instant!)
robo placement doesn't match up with visuals, in respect to geometry
<b>as marine, alien hits don't match up with visuals (visuals delayed)</b>
weapons "jam" after onos stomp or gore or both (not exactly sure), work again after switching
recycle-ing structures are buildable
esc to quit typing chat brings up main menu
sometimes buildings have weld indication and have 100%, disappears after short weld
vote eject comm doesn't work when dead
node/arc doesn't show repair indicator
arcs aren't auto-repaired by macs
all structures seem to have a slowly filling energy-pool - waste of computing power?
weapons are switchable while holding "build" without interrupting build
saw today (second time for me, first time in b204) a cyst 0% and invincible
not really bugs:
on NS2_Mineshaft, refinery transfer hive is siegeable from central
arcs are too cheap at 10tr. don't make them weak and cheap = spammable, make them more "focused": expensive and powerful = rare.

I usually post them in the build-comments-thread in the forums, but this time it's so late I wanted to make sure it would be seen by devs.
As for getsatisfaction, writing a line of text like I do here is a 100 times simpler than creating "a profile" for each and every point i write about!
Please keep this thread only to bugreporting, like DJPenguin did, from now on and until b205 is out...
Also, please use get satisfaction. as much as a pain it is to write a separate report for each bug (this is what PTers do) its essential/helpful/addressable

although I DID report something on it once, but it still says only 1 person with the problem, so maybe it got overseen simply...

Played b196 today and noticed that the game freezes a short time (m assuming) loading/using a sound for the first time ingame.
The same thing can be observed many times with different actions:
firing the rifle (firing and ricochet sounds)
switching to pistol (unholstering pistol sound)
switching to axe (taking-out-axe-sound)

Also, while I have your attention, HUGE PROBLEM I'm experiencing:
Not so rare, especially(/pretty sure only) after long sessions (2-3h+) of running/playing NS2, when quitting it and returning to desktop EVERYTHING is frozen except the mouse which is movable. My taskbar is on auto-hide, it doesn't pop up, nothing is interactable/clickable, not win-key on keyboard, not steam, not icons, nothing. Even ctrl+alt+del DOES NOTHING other than change the mouse cursor to 'working in background' for a second, then nothing!
(If CAD doesn't work in win - abandon all hope D: )
This can last 30s, 1m, ~5m? (I left the comp for a while), two times I waited really long and decided to force restart (probably I should have walked away for longer I'm thinking now).
The system is new and very clean, further, I've NEVER experienced this issue in my entire life.
(One that comes close is (in older windowses) everything is frozen, but mouse, however it doesn't respond to CAD by changing cursor, just moveable.)
Some more info: win7-64, fast cpu, plenty RAM, firefox running with ~50-ish tabs, uTorrent seeding Overgrowth. During the freeze-up the drive light makes short blinks sparsely and a little randomly.

When you have a hive in server room, I don't know if this is always, but I just played a game where I couldn't build cysts down into elevator through the normal walk path. It appears to do a " good placement" check and never turn any positive checks up, and lags the whole server. If I try to come north into server room, it does the same thing.
