Gorge should be Khammander. KING GORGE!

<div class="IPBDescription">not just overmind, but also Gorge on the field</div>Simple Idea. Hive is no more a room to get in, but a sense of mind, that can be linked with an individual lifeform, like gorge!
In my Opinion, current Khammander system is really banal. Player just press E in front of Hive, then he gets into the hive and drops and control everything. So i got an idea from the popular HL2 mod, Empires, in which player jumps into Command Car and not just control the things with RTS view, but also drives that car. They can switch those two mods constantly when needed.
My idea is therefore, not just let all alien players simply be a Khammander by getting INSIDE of Hive(like current NS2), but OUTSIDE of hive, in other words, he's not just controlling overmind, the hive, but linking his sense/mind with the of overmind. So the biggest difference of this idea to current Khammander will be, the body of Khammander, so his lifeform will still remain on the field, because/as he's no more inside hive to control overmind but is linked his mind with hive's mind.
And that lifeform might be Gorge, at least at early stage of game(in order to spread cysts, not mini one, and catalyze), so i'll call him the King Gorge
<b><u>Simple summary with details</u></b>:
1. (Player may evolve to Gorge in order to be Commander)
2. When a player press E in front of Hive, it means he links his mind with/to Hive(overmind), not getting into the hive
3. So even after he's linked with Hive, his lifeform remains on the field, so a king Gorge is on the field and to be controlled.
* Khammanders and Hive's overmind is permenantly linked till he unlinks(quit hive), till gets ejected or till gets killed by marines or Mr. Natural Causes.
- if the lifeform of khammander dies, that means there is no Khammander, no more overmind for a while
* <b>IMPORTANT</b>! Khammander can <u>switch his view between RTS and FPS</u>. In other words, between Hive-overmind and Gorge, the king himself...They are linked.
- he can simply control his lifeform, actually himself on the field at overmind's view(RTS view) and give simple orders. but he is also able to switch view to First Person View of the lifeform and just control it more detaily.
* King Gorge, a Khammander Gorge can drop real Cysts(not mini one) and maybe catalyze structures.
- actually it wouldn't be that important which lifeform should link with hive and be khammander, but as Gorge only drops cysts, it's necessary especially on early game that Gorge should be khammander.
* Of course, at least King Gorge needs some better abilities and healths than normal gorges. ex) Faster, Healthier, Bigger(?), more Handsome(??)
<b><u>Some Good Effects</u></b>:
1. Khammander will look like real Gardener, who is visible as lifeform! In current NS2, he's just invisible and invincible and unexpectable. No Gardener in universe is invisible haha :)
2. Individual Kharra players will guard and protect Khammander's lifeform(especially khammaner gorge, king gorge) at emergence. And that means, more teamplay between Khammander and Kharras
3. (For me, this is the most important thing) This would prevent blind cyst spam. With this, only gorges and King Gorge can drop cysts. Would prevent blind and stupid cyst spam and give Khammander also a really important role as repairman of cut cyst chains. He always must be there to drop another cyst to repair damaged cyst chain.
3.1. that means, Aliens have reason to protect important junction of the map(for cyst chain) and Marines on the other hand, also have reason to cut important cyst. Just like cutting down enemy territories from HQ, of Company Of Heroes.
3.2. Khammander Gorge can drop cysts on the ceilings and next to walls, with FPS mode.

4. He can also be field Commander!!! Not just a chicken gardener dropping orange things behind the lines (joking)
<u>Side Effects</u>:
1. Khammander must be more professional, but i don't think this is a side effect.
2. Spreading Cyst can be too much restricted, but personally, i love it. And that problem may be solved by teamplay or adding another unit to spread cyst.

<u>Some additional and available changes</u> with this idea. (However, not that important, just additional thoughts) :
1. We might/could see gorge dropping Structures again! Hives, Crags, Whips.. but with TRES only by King Gorge(repeat again, King Gorge is a gorge who is Khammander)
- but i don't think UWE would like this. They seem they are satisfied with Drifters haha
2. Adding new Lifeform like Zerg Queen of Starcraft 2. So if somebody press E in front of Hive, he gets the new lifeform(rather new clothes than lifeform) which is also able to be controlled at both views, RTS and FPS, and it has lots of abilities like dropping cysts, healing things, controlling structures, catalyzes..
- this will reduce responsibility as Khammander with expensive lifeforms of him
- dunno what happens when Khammander quits

haha maybe.. but if the commander is MAC himself, completely yes
Then again, I do think they intend on making the alien khamm a lot more interesting.
