New marine HUD and building loading is terrible.

<div class="IPBDescription">Seriously.</div>Nothing breaks immersion harder than 100 nameplates and loading bars flooding my screen and jittering everywhere every time I enter the marine base, same goes for allied marines and the new minimap system, I can't even bear myself to play marines in their current state.

    Toggle would be nice.

    Right now it's just a cluster-####.

Yeah, I know UWE are trying to make it look more polished and shiny, but really it was nicer to play with a more minimalist style. That's what they should aim towards in my opinion.

Get more productive people. Only criticism, helps no one.

I really like the new hud, but can understand the overkill of information in the marine base.

Simple solution: Only show info when aimed for 1 second at the target. (And show it at least 2 seconds! It is really hard to see the armor of a fellow marine, when he is moving. Because it fades out as soon as the crosshair loses the marine.)

I think something that could drastically help is the ability to shrink the UI. It's so amazingly huge and takes up 2/3rds of my screen, it feels like that anyway. I think most players want their screen real estate to be "empty" so they can observe the environment around them. Our health and armor bars don't need to be 24pt font with 50px of space between each element.

    What're you on about?

Even if the entire team was sitting in the base and you had everything in the game researching at once it'd only be like 20-30 icons.

You should have maybe 2 or 3 people, and 1 or 2 progress bars.

Oh god five whole pieces of information on my cyber hologram space hud MY IMMERSION

Are you stupid? Criticism will help the game become good. Not worsen it.

There's plenty of fanboyism going on around here; a little criticism won't hurt anyone.

If anything give the option to turn off EVERYTHING. Most players do not need a huge slab of text saying ARMS LAB on the arms lab, yes I know what it is, please the text is distracting as hell.

Uhm... i think his point had rather been the "constructive" part and not the "criticism" part.
It's callled constructive criticism for a reason, because you go into the details about what's wrong and maybe even give a solution to fix it.
Just saying "this sucks, i don't like it" without going into details as to why it sucks or how it could be improved just doesn't help much.

And in that regards i like his suggestion way more then "make it a toggle"... making something a toggle is the poor way of fixing problems, because it creates new ones all over the place.

If anybody want to make a better HUD mod, I can help. I started doing one for the last build, I found how to disable most of the annoying stuff, but it's a bit of work to maintain and I don't really have the time.

The best way to do it I think is to move most of the elements on the map panel, the upgrades for example, there is no reason to have them displayed all the time, If you want to see what upgrades you got, press C and check.

This doesn't make any sense. How could toggling something on/off create new problems?

Also, all I said was "Toggle would be nice".
